Formed in 1984, JSI provides employment opportunities, training, and supports for people with physical, developmental, or psychiatric disabilities. Whether the individual works on a government contract or at a community business, JSI provides the job training and supports to assure successful employment experiences.

Work changes lives! Gainful employment not only increases economic independence, it also enhances self-reliance and self-esteem, and reduces dependency on public benefits. For most people, a job paves the way to full participation in the community and becomes an important part of our identities. Work provides adult companionship, is a fundamental part of human expression, and gives structure to life.
Working in the community gives people with disabilities the opportunity to enlighten others about their capabilities. Their productivity and competence is apparent and has a positive affect on the attitudes and acceptance of the general public. Supported employment, direct placement, work adjustment, on-the-job training, and community-based assessments are a few of the services that JSI provides that change lives.
